my Concert Class, Melba Hall solo debut

Yep,it happened today.
I didn't go to mads turn last night. ohwell. that's what happens when you have an assignment due the next day, which also happens to be a very busy day (think: out 9am-7pm. and i live ON campus..) requirements: must submit assignment online as well. and have toactuallyschedule in time to physically hand in the assignment. (easier said than done)

so, the debut.

well, i page-turned for tom. so i'd been out there twice before i even got to play mybit.

the programme was thus:

Bec Proietto (cello): Bach Prelude and Allemande from Suite3
TomWilliams (pno): Mozart Piano Sonata K457 i
Emma Knight (flute): Jacob Flute Concerto i ii
Trevor Maitland (voice): Four Songs of Travel
Toby Goss (clarinet): Weber Clarinet concerto #2 i
Emily Blake (violin): Mozart Concerto in D i
Lydia Killerby (voice): Brahms Minen Liebe ist grun; Strauss Zueignung
Gladys Chua (pno): Debussy Bruyeres, Feux d'artifice
Tiffany Wong (cello): Elgar Cello Concerto iv

This programme was particularly interesting for anumber of reasons. Except for one student, the rest are all first or second years. Excellent.
A few concertos
Excellent repertoire for each respective instrument/voice
friends who played
acquaintances who played.

Mine went ok. Of course, having only one shot at it means that you always want to go back and fix it up! that's ok. The experience wasn't very torturous. i wasn't incredibly nervous, once I started. Then halfway through, i thought "why aren't I nervous? Come on! Get nervous..!" Then I was...probably not the best thought to have..!

Thanks to everybody who came along and watched/listened. The support is always valued.
Thanks for the comments - it makes playing for friends worth it!
To those that couldn't make it or otherwise - you missed out :) I only debut once..!
